Wood-Fired Pizza Franchise to Open New Clifton Location Offering First Self-Pour Taproom in Western Colorado
CLIFTON, Colo. – Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza & Taproom – the fastest-growing wood-fired pizza franchise in the U.S., is happy to announce the opening of its newest location in Clifton on Nov. 9. The new restaurant and self-pour taproom will be located in the Peachtree Shopping Center at 3225 I-70 Business Loop, Ste. A4. The new restaurant in the rapidly-growing Clifton community presents the perfect spot to have a meal and drinks with family and friends.
“We are thrilled to be opening our second location in the Grand Valley and continue serving fresh wood-fired pizza to more local residents in our community,” said local Smokin’ Oak Pizza owner, Bob Marolf. “With the introduction of our self-pour taproom, the first-of-its-kind in Western Colorado, we‘re positioning our restaurant as a top local spot for guests to try and experience both locally crafted and domestic beverages. The new Clifton location will also feature a fun-filled environment with 22 large screen TVs inside and outdoor seating with our beautiful patio and adjustable sunshade pergola. We chose the Clifton site because we feel the area is underserved. There are plenty of fast-food options but only a few full-service restaurants in the area. Now the Clifton community will have another great option without having to travel to downtown Grand Junction or the Mesa Mall area.”
Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza and Taproom features a full menu of wood-fired pizzas, salads, starters, and even desserts. The oven, fueled by oak wood cooks pizzas in about two minutes. The brand delivers an enjoyable pizza experience through its open-plan kitchen, which allows customers to customize and watch their pizzas being made right in front of them. The dough and sauces are made in-house, veggies are cut fresh throughout the day, and even the meats are roasted in the wood-fired oven to infuse real oak wood flavor.
The Clifton location’s Taproom will bring the first self-pour tap wall to Western Colorado and will offer craft and domestic beer, wine, cider and mixed cocktails. There will be 40 unique taps for guests to choose from. To use the Taproom, a guest will start a tab, be provided with an RFID-enabled bracelet, and then be free to explore the tap wall. Guests can pour anywhere from one to 16 ounces at a time, allowing them to try different wines, beers, ciders and other drinks they may not otherwise try. It’s a great way to do beer tasting with friends all in one Taproom. A Taproom Attendant will also be available to answer any questions on how to use the tap wall and to provide recommendations.
“We have seen tremendous success with the Marolf’s first location in Grand Junction and with the opening of their second location in Clifton, the new restaurant and its tap wall are sure to be a welcome addition to the community,” said Matt Mongoven, CEO of Fourth Avenue Restaurant Group, the Franchisor of Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza & Taproom. “At Smokin’ Oak Pizza, you can have a delicious meal in under 15 minutes, or enjoy the self-pour taproom and linger for longer, so it’s perfect for every occasion. We are confident local Clifton families will love our concept because kids can have fun watching their food being made, while parents relax with a drink from the Taproom.”
The opening of the Clifton location marks an important step in Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza & Taproom’s continued national expansion.
