WOOD-FIRED PIZZA STORY
Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza is a pioneer in the fast casual wood-fired pizza. We spent years crafting our dough recipe, enhancing our Guest experience, and establishing the most efficient operational procedures. Our unique wood-fired oven bakes pizzas at 900 degrees in about 90 seconds. We hand chop our vegetables throughout the day, roast our own meats, and make our proprietary dough in-house every morning. We prepare our tomato sauce using fresh, crushed tomatoes and make our sauces in-house. In fact, Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza is so fresh, we don’t even have a freezer!
The roots of Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza started with one of the first fast casual wood-fired pizza restaurants in the U.S. Linda Black, President of Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza, founded Pi Wood-Fired Pizza, in August 2009 after spending years crafting her dough recipe and refining her menu items.
Realizing there was something very special with Pi, we decided to franchise the wood-fired pizza concept that became so popular. The new franchise became what we know today as Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza. This brand proudly represents the innovative concept, branding and design that inspired three business partners, Matt Mongoven, Linda Black and Denise Villeneuve, to enter into this Fast Casual Pizza Franchise journey. Of course, the key ingredients, recipes and efficiencies of our flagship restaurant have been incorporated into the Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza franchise system.
Our unique wood-fired oven pizza and interactive dining experience concept not only gives each of our guests a “wow”, but also boasts impressive industry-leading cost ratios attracting new franchisees all over the U.S.
