Pi Day is one of the biggest days in the Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza calendar. It’s truly a ‘community’ day for us, as each of our Franchise Partners aligns themselves with a local community organization to raise funds for that organization while providing a great value for our Guests on March 14th with $3.14 pizzas.
Supporting local communities is important for us, and it’s important to us that our Franchise Partners support organizations that are near and dear to their heart, and will have an impact in the community they reside.
Guests make their donation at the point of sale (either by adding it to their ticket or through a cash donation) or if aligned with a food bank, a canned food item.
Below are a few that we will benefit with this year’s celebration:
Grand Junction, CO: Steppin It Up. A non-profit Program providing personal training and life skills to people with disabilities. Building courage, self-esteem and healthy hearts one step at a time.
Omaha, NE: inCommon. Alleviates poverty at a root level by uniting and strengthening vulnerable neighborhoods. They believe no one should have to face a lifetime of poverty simply because of the zip code they were born into.
Broomfield, CO: Boulder County Wildfire Fund. A fund created to provide both short- and long-term support to those impacted by the wildfires in and around Boulder, CO in December of 2021.
Cedar Falls, IA: Northeast Iowa Food Bank. Providing nutritious food and grocery products to non profit organizations and individuals in Northeast Iowa, while offering hunger education programs to the area and those in need.
With $3.14 pizza all day, our restaurants have been hard at work getting ready for the day, making sure we have enough scratch made dough and oven roasted meats, and ensuring that we’ve chopped our veggies and our made in-house sauces are ready to go. We always sleep well the night of March 14th!
